Sobre este nuevo libro de Triplehorn y Johnson, hay que comenzar diciendo que esta edición, la séptima, comprende un justo ajuste en el título. En la edición anterior sexta (1989), desaparece como autor Dwight M. DeLong (fallecido en 1984), movida que traería como conse- cuencia la desaparición de los dos nom- bres tradicionales, ante la posterior muerte de Donald Borror (en 1988). La solución “salomónica” es el título actual, Borror and DeLong’s Introduction to the Study of Insects, título que convierte auto- máticamente al libro y sus gestores en un clásico de los manuales entomológicos.
