Insects of the genus Rhodnius belonging to the domestic and salvatic habitat were analyzed by molecular techniques to determine the reinfestation possibility of the human dwellings to guide the control programs and epidemiological surveillance. Dendrographs, Fst (0.2421) and Nm ( 1.05) were generated using informatic packages. These results suggest that gene flow between the two populations is null, that is to say. they are isolated. However, 4 individuals captured in the houses, were characterized as belonging to the wild population when rDNA was amplified, and also these individuals grouped inside of the wild population cluster, this also suggest a possible migration of wild individuals to domiciliated areas. therefore it is recommended periodic monitoring of human dwellings to prevent possible reinfestations.
