Abstract

El medidor gigante del ciprés Oxydia trychiata (Guenée) (Lepidoptera: Geometridae), es una plaga limitante en las plantaciones forestales del Departa­mento de Antioquia. Durante 1974 y 1975 se pre­sentó un ataque de este medidor en una plantación localizada en la vereda San Félix, municipio de Be­llo, afectando 230 ha y defoliando completamente 37 de pino patula (Bustillo, 1976). Esta plantación está compuesta de Pinus patula Schl. et Cham. y de otras especies como son: ciprés (Cupressus lusitani­ca Mili.), pino elioti (P. elliottii Engelm.), acacia (Acacia sp.) y eucalipto (Eucaliptus sp.) ...
