BIOLOGY, HABITS, AND HOST PLANTS OF THE CHRYSANTHEMUM LEAF MINER

The biology, habits and host plants of the chrysanthemum leaf miner Liriomyza sativae Blanch, were studied. This insect has become the most important pest in ornamental crops in Eastern Antioquia (Colombia). The information thus gathered is utilized in setting up a pest management program for this insect.
