The enzootic and epizootic diseases caused by entomopathogen in fungi in may insect pests are frequent and important in Colombia. This paper is the result of a work being conducted at ICA's Entomology Laboratory at Tibaitatá,  with the final objective of making an inventory of the insect diseases caused by fungi. Among the species of pathogenic fungi reported in this work the following Hyphomycetes stand out.: Nomuraea rileyi (Farlow) Samson in Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) and Anticarsia gemmatalis Hübner; Paecilomyces lilacinus (Thom.) Samson on Antiteuchus tripterus (F.); P. fumosoroseus (Wize) Brown & Smith on Premnotrypes vorax (Hustache); Metarhizium anisopliae (Metch.) Sorokin on Ancognatha sp. and Clavipalpus pos. ursinus Blanchard; Verticillium Iecanii (Zimm.) Viégas on soft scales. Among the Coelomycetes a species of Aschersonia was found to be very common on Coccidae. Up to now, the results show that in the country there are species of pathogenic fungi established and well-adapted, which could be used in programs of integrated post control.
