This work was achieved in the Jaime Mor laboratory of the Federación Nacional de Algodoneros, Espinal township (Tolima), under control conditions of 26 ± 3°C of temperature and 60 ± 10% relative moisture. The greater average of longevity for females and the male animal was 25.85 days. It was obtained with a supply diet of bee's honey at 50°/o, for this trial. It was determined that M. laphygmae has a nightly habit of parasitism. In this case, there were 8 treatments exposing the larvas of S. sunia to different exposition times diurnal and in the night, obtaining the better results with the treatment from 5:00 pm. to 8:00 am. The total average of progeny was 134.2 individuals for females with a sexual proportion of 1.14:1. The preliminary evaluation of parasitim showed an average of 17.220/o. This evaluation was effected by means confined Liberations and under environmental conditions, using seed plots for Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) and Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) infested with larvas of S. sunia.
